Joseph is a Counsellor (Provisional) and founder of Anchor and Light, supporting adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, relationship strain, parenting challenges, separation, and significant life transitions.
He provides couples counselling for partners seeking to improve communication, work through conflict constructively, and build greater clarity and connection within their relationships.
Joseph’s approach is calm, structured, and trauma-informed. He supports individuals who may feel overwhelmed, under pressure, or uncertain about their next steps, helping them move toward greater clarity, stability, and emotional wellbeing.
His practice draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems-informed approaches, and mindfulness-based strategies.
Alongside his counselling work, Joseph brings extensive experience in executive leadership, adult education, and structured support environments. He has led teams across complex organisational settings and holds a Graduate Certificate in Adult Education and Training.
Joseph has a particular interest in communication breakdown, anger, identity disruption, and the pressures that can develop within couple and family systems.
